  1. misschien = perhaps
  2. uitverkoop! = sale!
  3. winkel = store
  4. schoenenwinkel = shoe shop (you betcha!)
  5. woordenboek = dictionary

  7. Ik heb hoofdpijn. = I have a headache.
  8. Wat moet ik doen? = What shall I do?
  9. Moet ik naar een hospitaal gaan? = Do I have to go to a hospital?
  10. de bloedvaten = the blood vessels
  11. schijten = shit
  12. rot op! = fuck off!
  13. loop naar de bliksem! = go to hell!

Misschien a uitverkoop at the schoenenwinkle will get rid of your hoofdpijn and you will not have to tell everyone to rop op.

bwahahahahahahahahahahha

Cool! My friend lived in Germany for 3 years and she took classes on how to speak German. (Well, at least I think your 13 are German words. I'll feel pretty silly if they're not.)

My 13 are up. I moved my blog so this is my first 13 in my new digs.

And your father’s native language sounds like some of those Scandinavian?

Great list! It's wonderful that you are getting a chance to learn your parents' native language!

Happy Thursday :)

I knew it wasn't German - I speak German, and those certainly aren't German words. ;) I would say it is Dutch.

I'm laughing at your swear words. ;)

Nope, not German but similar. Isn't learning a new language fun!

Thanks for sharing this with us. But I think it's funny how it includes the "bad" words and phrases.

Another language I've learned to curse people out in!

Very good and educational.

Hugs!

Great list!
Now I can say eff off in Dutch!

When I was in college, my roommate coached a deaf swim team... the first words his swimmers taught me: bitch!

Ha!

More common to translate 9 would be "Moet ik naar het ziekenhuis?"
11 has to be "schijten"

Fijne oudejaarsavond en een gelukkig nieuw jaar!

Groetjes uit Holland, Nederland!
