16 Years and Counting

On May 4, 1991 in a small Catholic church in Indianapolis, Indiana, I married the man with whom I vowed to spend the rest of my life. For richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, this man has stood by my side. Believe me when I say, it has not been an easy task for him, and for that I love him more than I did on that rainy, cool, overcast day.

Because of him, I have learned new things about love, life, sorrow, and joy. Because of him, I learned how to laugh harder and think smarter. Because of him, I was gifted with the most incredible children a mother could want. Because of him, I learned what kind of woman I could be.

Thank you, sweetheart, for an incredible 16 years. I hope we have another 16x16 more. I love you.
