Back in the Ring to Take Another Swing

This situation with my friend Greg has turned ugly, and I know y'all are sick of hearing about it. I will say that he gets to return to the classroom on Tuesday...just not the classroom at our school. He is being transferred to another school in our district.

Sigh.

The stink on this battle just got stronger, and the parents just got a whole lot angrier. The school district does not understand what a can of trouble they just bought by making this decision.

The battle rages on, my friends, and this Songbird really has her feathers ruffled. As yet, the principal at our school still reigns supreme, but she is running scared now that the parents have started a petition drive to get her sorry ass booted out of our school. This should actually be quite fun.

Have a super Saturday, all. I'm gonna have coffee with my friend Greg, enjoy my daughter's basketball game, and kick back with some college football (something I haven't done in a few weeks). Things don't look good for my Irish, especially since they play those damn Trojans of USC today. Sigh. Things could get very ugly for my IU Hoosiers as they play Penn State. Ick.

That does stink! I hope those parents have her running for the hills. She could have easily solved it, but instead passed the buck!
Enjoy your weekend Songbird!

Just so you know, I'm not tired of hearing about this issue. I think it is important and I hope you keep updating us on your progress.

Good luck!

Not tired of hearing about it at all. But I have to admit I'm still terribly curious to know what the full situation is. However, please don't divulge anything you don't want to. But I'm still curious nonetheless! :-) Goodluck with all of this. Sounds like a terribly unfortunate situation.

I know NOTHING about Arizona law...but here we can petition to transfer schools within a district.

I'm not saying you should transfer...but if you got a whole slew of parents to request the forms for transfer...and make a list of all the private schools in the area on a flyer...that you pass out....

Boy, he's sure lucky to have you on his side!

Sorry Greg was reassigned. Good luck with your petition!

The principal sounds like a douchebag. We just dealt with Kidlet's math teacher douchebag so I am inclined to dislike public school dictators!

What a horrible situation, and I hope it all works out for the best for your friend. Sounds like a terrible drama and pain to be living through. I hope he likes his new assignment, and that will help a little. You're a good friend to him and I know he's lucky to have you in his corner :)

Hope you had a good weekend, football outcomes or not :)

I agree-- I want to hear what happens! Girl, I had NO idea what kind of drama and politics are rife in the school system until I married into it. It's absolutely insane. Good for you and your fellow parents for fighting!
