I Only Hope My Kids Show this Kind of Character Some Day

I have to give my husband credit. He saw it first and KNEW I'd love to see it - so he found the video link for me.
I do hope that I raise my children to have such character!!
Wow, what a great story! Oh Songbird, I have no doubt that your kids would do that for someone.
The coaches that have been a part of those young ladies' sports careers can be proud. How many pro athletes would, in the spirit of true sportsmanship, raise another team's member up in such a manner?
I've seen hateful petty comments on the part of "sportsfans" after victories... they would do well to learn from these exceptional human beings.
No matter what their future holds, no matter what championships may lay before them... no victory will mean as much as that moment.
Awesome video.
At the end of it, I found it hard to keep my eyes from tearing up. It makes me feel good, to know that there are young people out there with heart and character.
Glad whoever video taped it finally let it out to the media...the still picture was touching enough...the video is so much more so
I saw it on the news and it gave me hope for the future. What an incredible bunch of children!
Great story, thanks for sharing it :)
You know--this should be normal and not remarkable.
Hey, that took place in my neck of the woods. A local sports columnist pointed out that it would not have happened if the they were men teams.
Those young women are the types of people we need to lead our world....Beautiful!
PS Thanks for making me cry!
Jaxoma said.....Why stop with our children. WE.......as adults should be practicing this as well. Citizenship is for all ages; it should not discriminate.
yep....this was truly a great story
That photograph should be blown up and framed, hanging in a place of honor in every sports facility in the country.
