Thursday Thoughts - September 25/EDITED

  • Dare I say this out loud? Do I risk jinxing the entire thing? There is a good possibility I will be meeting a fellow blogger in the coming weeks. Yippee! (Oops, did I put a bogey hex on myself by publishing that here? I hope not. I thought this past summer I was going to meet one, but those plans fell through, sadly. I hope these don't.)
  • The new principal at my kids' school really, really likes me. What a difference from her predecessor! I just hope I don't disappoint. Seems I've been disappointing a few people lately. Not on purpose, I might add, but just be my being ME.
  • I have to pat myself on the back, however, for something I appear to be doing correctly. I think I've laid down a very good foundation of communication with my daughter. We spent some one-on-one time together again this past weekend, and she's really starting to feel comfortable talking to me about intimate stuff. Yay, Mom!
  • My blood is not the source of my recent bout of fatigue. Apparently, all is in good working order there. I think I know a couple of other reasons why this could be happening; one I can correct. The other? Well, my body will just have to adjust to the changes. Thank you all for the well wishes. Sandee is right; it's been a long time since I felt GREAT, but I'm nearly there!
  • Going to a baseball game this Sunday, the last one of the regular season. This hasn't been a great season for our team (they won't make the playoffs), and we haven't been able to attend games all season, but we'll go on the last day and cheer them on.
  • I'm still bummed about the devastating injuries to my Colts. Dammit. I hope the bye week this week helps them out.
  • One more month until my daughter tries out for the school basketball team. If she makes it, I'll be attending games twice a week all over the north end of the county. Oy vey.
  • I'm attending my first bar mitzvah in a few weeks. I can't wait; it should be fascinating. I'm always interested in learning about other religions and cultures. That evening there will be a swank party at the country club. That should be loads of fun. Sure missing dancing, though...
  • My guitar lessons seem to be going well, but I've only had two. Don't expect video any time soon! We'll see if this old dog really can learn a new trick. Or two.
  • Just for fun, I post these two photos of my goofy, funny great-nieces Zoey and Kaleigh. (Zoey is the blonde.) Zoey and Kaleigh just celebrated their third birthday on August 28th.

Note: I had to change the original second photo, after my sister kindly commented below that the previously posted photo was NOT of her granddaughter/my great niece Kaleigh. The photo just above here truly DOES have both Zoey (on the left), and Kaleigh on the right.

First, cutest pics! And yes, it sucks about the Colts... it's actually really sad watching them on the field. A baseball game, huh? Have fun. And, just to comment on some of your other bullets... be yourself. You'll never be able to be anybody better!

I have yet to meet any of my blog friends. I would love to do so, but haven't had the chance.

Cute pics!

The pics of Zoey and Kaleigh are too cute!

Looks like I'll be waiting a long time for that vid... but I can wait. Yes, I can. *g*

I'm off to the fridge right now to get an orange juice. The vitamins might help me think. Why? I'm wondering who will be the lucky one to meet you :-)

These are adorable shots. I used to climb the mimosa tree in my backyard. Great memories...of course, I was trying to get away from my brother!

Precious girls!

Don't believe in that jinx. I was going to meet a fellow blogger, didn't mention it on my blog and it fell through.

Yay for you and those lines of communication with the Bonnie Lass.

That's excellent news regarding your health. Hang in there!

Good luck to your daughter with her basketball try out!

Nice photos of your nieces. For some reason, my kids like to TRY to climb up trees too.

Good luck to your daughter. So far, my kids have no interest in sports.

I'm so glad that you're feeling better and that your life is going along great!

So, who's this blogger you're meeting?

Jaxoma said....Unfortunately, that is NOT Kaleigh in the lower picture, but rather a 6 year neighbor girl. Zoey likes to climb trees; Kaleigh prefers to ride bikes.

Cool that you have the mom/daughter thing going, but I hear it self-destructs when they get to about 13!...

I've never met a blogger friend -but would love to. I've had a little dream about taking a blog-world tour - traveling to all the places I've "met" people.
