Rest Assuredly

As a follow up to my post of Thursday, I know only this: the mother with the two young kids and her husband arrived at her sister's house safely the day after they left the East Coast. I'm not sure what time they arrived, or if they had ever bothered to call her sister, but I know that they all arrived safely.

I believe they are driving back home to the East Coast today, Sunday the 19th. Oy Carumba.

Only God knows what will happen to them on the return trip, but they are known for not being the most organized travelers.

Sigh.

That is the curse of being a family - you get the fruits and nuts along with the chocolate.

welllll....I think you know how it is to have a sister who tends to make just about everything more difficult...

sigh.

I think they definitely qualify as the NUTS.
First - how can you remember the laptop but forget the cell phone?
And isn't it just common courtesy to notify the people you're visiting about when you'll be arriving and if there are delays?
Glad they weren't coming to visit me - I'd give 'em a piece of my mind and then send 'em to the local hotel once they got here!

Well, at least you know that half of the trip was safe and complete.

Well, I'm glad that they arrived safe and sound. Hopefully the sister wasn't too angry that she didn't get a call. :)

Hmmm..I think we all have a sister who makes life difficult.

And I also have a SIL too!

But, I guess life wouldn't be as interesting or exciting if we didn't have those nuts in the chocolate.

Oh boy...that's quite a story! Glad they got there safely though.

Thanks for the comments about my cake btw! :)

Well on the trip home they are not inconveniencing anyone but themselves...

Reminds me a little of my inlaws. They call to say they are coming right now, but they don't show up until several hours later. I can think of better things to do than wait all day for them.

I have a brother who was always late. He and his wife would keep us waiting for dinner. I would say lunch is at 1 pm and they wouldn't show up until 2

We finally gave up on them, and if they were invited and didn't get there on time, we ate without them. Honest.
