Today's word is Memorial.
I was going to let this stand as my post for today, in honor of those who gave their lives for the United States, but I have to add this for my blogging friend at Tiggerprr's Scratching Post. Tigg hasn't posted much lately, but I just got word that Tigg lost her husband late last week. Her friend Yoshi at Hello! Yoshi has posted more about this sad event HERE; information about how you can send donations to help Tiggerprr and her daughter and his two children as well as a link to her husband, Ken's, obituary can be found at Yoshi's blog.
R.I.P., Ken. Big hugs to you, Tigg.

Well that is sad all the way around. Here's to Tigg and the family. Cheers Dear!!
great post- and prayers for your friend. I will head over.
I had no idea that nearly 79,000 were missing from WWII.
That is equivalent to a large city.
thank you so much for spreading the news for tiggerprr! I'm sure she's eternally grateful!
I'm sorry to hear of your friend's loss. She and her children are in my thoughts.
Lest we forget those who gave all... and may we remember to thank those who have served and continue to do so.
I'm sorry to hear about Tigg's loss.
As to the POW/MIA's, one of my stepdad's uncles spend WWII as a Japanese POW after being captured on Bataan.
Those who made the ultimate sacrifice have my eternal gratitude.
I'm so sorry for Tigg's loss. My heart goes out to her and his families. They all deserve our utmost gratitude Aloha
I'm so sorry. He was such a very young man, too.
Thanks for your memorial post and for being such a good friend to Ammy.
~~~Blessings~~~
That's terrible news. I have not heard from her in over a year. And when I finally hear something, it's bad news.
Hello everyone... thanks for your thoughts and prayers...
