Ruby Tuesday - Pinwheels for Peace

On September 21st, the kids at our school took part in the International Day of Peace by participating in Pinwheels for Peace.

Kids participating in a peace movement? Why not? And why not you?

Join the BlogBlast for Peace movement on November 5, 2009. As Mimi of Mimi Writes says, "We will speak with one voice. One subject. One day."

Won't you join us?

Go HERE for details on how to get your Peace Globe, and on November 5th, fly your globe. Peace starts with a dream in your heart and spreads from person to person.

I would say it's better to have kids participating in the peace movement than the war movement. But, maybe that's just me. ;-)

Pinwheels blowing peace messages into the air...it's a good plan.

A really lovely sight - how clever of them! There's a thoughtful teacher behind that class for sure!

What a moving post! The pun was intended, but really what a great thing to do. I think I'll hop on over there and see if my kids and I can't get a few pinwheels ourselves!
Great RT this week!
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.

Wouldn't it be nice if the whole world could be at peace? It starts with the kids, doesn't it? What they learn now, they'll take with them to adulthood.

Pinwheels for Peace! I love it!

I know I don't have to say this, but I will anyway just in case...

Enjoy U2!

The kids get it... don't they?

It doesn't have to BEE big, just honest and true.

I wonder... were they spinning to the winds of change?

Oh.. and I laughed myself silly at the thought of:

I saw lots of pinwheel projects at schools that day. What a lovely post, Songbird.

I think BlogBlast would make a great digital art project for kids in school.
